What tulips mean
The tulip is associated with perfect love and elegance without showiness. It is the flower for someone who wants to say something strong in few words: a single-color tulip bouquet is one of the most understated and most effective gifts there is.
By color
- Red: a declaration of love, no beating around the bush.
- White: forgiveness and respect. It is the flower you give to apologize.
- Yellow: joy. (The old meaning of "hopeless love" is long obsolete.)
- Purple: loyalty and royalty.
The tulip's quirk
It is one of the very few flowers that keeps growing after it is cut: it can stretch two or three centimeters (about an inch) inside the vase, and it also bends toward the light. If the bouquet looks unruly after two days, nothing is wrong with it — it is growing. Turn the vase every day so it grows evenly.
Season
It is a cool-weather flower. In Argentina its best time is winter and early spring (roughly June to October in the Southern Hemisphere). In summer it is practically impossible to find in good quality.
Availability of each flower changes with the season. If you are looking for a specific flower, ask us before ordering and we will confirm whether we have it.
Ask us about tulip availability depending on the time of year.
