Flowers for Mother’s Day in Argentina

In Argentina, Mother's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of October, unlike Spain and much of Latin America, where it falls in May (and unlike the US, where it is the second Sunday of May). If you are sending from abroad, double-check the local date.

Which flowers people choose

  • Pink roses: gratitude and affection. The most common choice.
  • Lilies: a strong presence, and they last almost two weeks.
  • Gerberas: cheerful and affordable, ideal for a gesture without solemnity.
  • Orchids or plants: for someone who prefers something that lasts.

Why it pays to order ahead

It is the busiest date of the year for any florist, ahead of Valentine's Day. Three concrete consequences: delivery time slots sell out, wholesale flower prices go up that week, and the available variety shrinks. Ordering seven to ten days ahead secures your time slot and usually costs less.

If there are several siblings

One large arrangement from all of you usually makes more of an impact than three small bouquets arriving separately. And it costs less.
