How to send flowers to someone’s home (step-by-step guide)

If you have never sent flowers to someone far away, the part that raises questions isn't choosing the bouquet: it is everything that comes after. Here is the whole process.

1. The details you will need

  • The recipient's first and last name.
  • The full address: street, number, floor and apartment. A missing floor number is the number one cause of failed deliveries.
  • A phone number for the recipient. If nobody answers the door, the driver calls.
  • The delivery date and time slot.

2. Choosing the time slot

If it is going to a private home, the afternoon usually works better than the morning. If it is going to an office, the morning — and never late on a Friday, because the bouquet spends the weekend alone.

3. If you want it to be a surprise

Here is the tension: you can't give them a heads-up, but if nobody is there the delivery fails. Two solutions that work: send it to their office, or give the phone number of a third person (a sister, a coworker) who knows about the plan and can coordinate without spoiling it.

4. What happens if nobody is home

The driver calls the phone number you entered. If there is no answer, we try to leave it with a building manager or doorman when the building allows it. If not, the order goes back to the shop, and the delivery fee has to be paid again to resend it. The details are in our returns policy.

5. The card

It is free and it is what people remember most. Write it yourself: one line of your own is worth more than a stock phrase.

Choose your bouquet and set the delivery date and time at checkout.
